About the role

Greenway Dental ACT is seeking an experienced Dentist to join our team on a contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity to provide high-quality dental care to patients in the Tuggeranong area whilst working with a supportive and professional dental team. As a Dentist, you will be at the heart of our practice, delivering comprehensive oral healthcare services and building lasting relationships with our patients.

This role offers the flexibility of contract work whilst maintaining the clinical standards and professional workplace our patients expect.

Key responsibilities

- Examining patients' teeth, gums and related tissues using both visual inspection and diagnostic equipment such as X-rays
- Diagnosing dental conditions and developing comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs
- Performing a full range of restorative and preventative dental procedures, including fillings, crowns, extractions and root canal treatments
- Providing preventative care advice and oral health education to patients
- Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records and treatment documentation
- Communicating clearly with patients about treatment options, costs and expected outcomes
- Adhering to all relevant dental regulations, infection control protocols and workplace health and safety requirements
- Collaborating with dental hygienists, dental assistants and other team members to ensure optimal patient care
- Staying current with best practices and continuing professional development in dentistry

What we're looking for

- A current and valid dental registration with the Australian Dental Board or equivalent regulatory body
- A Bachelor of Dental Surgery or equivalent recognised dental qualification
- Current professional indemnity insurance or willingness to obtain it




- Proficiency in performing a wide range of general dental procedures
- Strong clinical decision-making skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with patients and team members
- Knowledge of current dental technology and practices
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of infection control and sterilisation
- Professional demeanour and a patient-centred approach to care
- Experience in private dental practice is advantageous
