Perth Waldorf School and Parkerville Steiner College are seeking applications for the position of Deputy Head of School, commencing January 2027 (negotiable). Why now?
This new and ongoing position is being offered as part of a broader leadership strengthening process across both campuses. It is a response to the growth of the school over the past few years with the establishment of a new campus in the Perth Hills.
Who are we?
Perth Waldorf School and Parkerville Steiner College together provide Steiner education across two distinctive campuses in the Perth metropolitan area.
- Perth Waldorf School, set in a beautiful natural bushland environment near Bibra Lake in Perth’s southern suburbs, offers education from Playgroup through to Class 12.
- Parkerville Steiner College is nestled on 25 acres in the Perth Hills and is in a strong growth phase to provide a full secondary offering from Years 7–12 in 2027.

The role will work closely with:
- Annabelle Kellenberger — Head of School, Perth Waldorf School
- Hayley Spracklen — Head of School, Parkerville Steiner College The successful candidate will work across both campuses however in 2027 the role will be based primarily at Parkerville Steiner College, with regular involvement at Perth Waldorf School.
The Deputy Head of School will provide active leadership and operational support across a range of areas including:
- staff support, induction and HR matters;
- overseeing and actively supporting teachers, EAs and learning support staff;
- timetabling and curriculum support;
- operational oversight and day-to-day management support including organising relief;
- compliance and organisational process support;
- strategic and school improvement initiatives as assigned; and
- fostering strong communication and collaboration across the schools.

The salary range for this position is $132,000 to $150,000 plus Superannuation, dependent upon qualifications and experience. Relocation assistance may also be considered for the right candidate. You would hold a Working With Children Check (or be willing to obtain one) and have the right to work in Australia (there is no opportunity for sponsorship).
