About the role The Development Manager will lead assigned LDK development projects from initial feasibility and planning through design, procurement, construction and handover. Working closely with the General Manager Developments and a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, this role will manage project budgets, programs, consultants and contractors to deliver high-quality current builds,



refurbishments and strategic upgrades that support LDK’s vision of creating exceptional living environments for older Australians.

Role responsibilities

- Lead development projects from feasibility and planning through to construction, completion and handover.
- Manage planning approvals, development applications and compliance requirements across relevant jurisdictions.
- Coordinate architects, engineers, consultants and contractors to deliver projects on time, within budget and to quality standards.
- Oversee tendering, procurement, contract administration, cost control and project reporting.
- Monitor project budgets, cash flow forecasts, risks and opportunities, ensuring sound financial and governance outcomes.
- Collaborate with Operations, Sales & Marketing, Facilities Management and village teams to deliver exceptional resident-focused developments.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

- Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Project Management, Property, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience. A person with a construction background is highly desirable.
- Minimum five years' experience in development or project management within property development, construction, or related industries.
- Proven experience managing projects through feasibility, planning approvals, design, procurement, construction and handover.
- Strong knowledge of contract administration, tendering, procurement processes, project budgeting and financial reporting.
- Sound understanding of building codes, regulatory requirements and government approval processes.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, problem-solving and relationship-building skills, with the ability to lead and influence diverse project teams.
