Development Manager – Utility Scale Renewable Energy

About the Role;

We are seeking an experienced Development Manager to lead the development of utility-scale renewable energy projects across Australia. The role will focus on the full life-cycle of development including Onshore Wind, Solar, & Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects from early-stage feasibility through to FID/construction readiness.

Key Responsibilities;

- Lead the development of utility-scale renewable energy projects across wind, solar, and BESS technologies.
- Manage project development activities including site selection, land acquisition, planning approvals, environmental assessments, and stakeholder engagement.
- Coordinate technical studies, grid connection activities, and consultant workstreams.
- Build and maintain robust relationships with landowners, councils, government agencies, network providers, and local communities.




- Manage project budgets, schedules, risks, and development milestones.
- Support commercial negotiations, project acquisitions, and investment approvals.
- Drive projects through to financial close and handover to delivery teams.

About You;

- 5+ years' experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, or major project development.
- Demonstrated experience developing utility-scale renewable energy projects.
- Strong understanding of planning, environmental approvals, and project development processes.
- Experience working with landowners, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
- Strong commercial, negotiation, and project management skills.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Environmental Science, Planning, Property, Commerce, or a related field.
