Johnston Plant & Heavy Vehicle Repairs – Newcastle, NSW
We’re looking for an experienced Plant Mechanic / Auto Electrician to join our growing team.
We work on a wide range of heavy vehicles, plant, machinery and equipment, with workshop and field-service work available.
The Role
- Diagnose, repair and maintain plant, heavy vehicles and machinery
- Electrical diagnostics and fault finding
- Repairs to 12V/24V electrical systems
- Hydraulic and mechanical fault finding
- Preventative maintenance and servicing
- Field breakdowns and mobile repairs
- Installation and repair of electrical accessories and equipment
- Working across a variety of makes and models
What we’re looking for
- Trade qualification as a Plant Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic or Auto Electrician
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical diagnostic skills
- Experience working on heavy equipment and machinery
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good problem-solving skills
- Current driver’s licence
- HR licence and/or auto electrical experience highly regarded
