Lead a specialist integrity function that strengthens ethical leadership, accountability and confidence in Queensland Corrective Services.

Queensland Corrective Services is seeking an accomplished and values-driven executive to lead the Ethical Standards Workplace Investigations Group. This influential role offers the opportunity to shape QCS' ethical standards strategy and direct a specialist function responsible for progressing complex and sensitive workplace investigations involving responsible misconduct and corrupt conduct. Reporting to the Assistant Commissioner, Professional Standards and Governance Command, you will ensure the function operates with independence, rigour and the highest levels of probity.

You will provide authoritative advice to senior executives and decision-makers, oversee complex and sensitive matters, lead ethical culture and capability initiatives, and build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders and external integrity partners.

What you will do

Lead and manage the workplace investigations function, ensuring its operations comply with legislation, policy, contemporary practice and the highest standards of integrity.

Set strategic direction and maintain oversight of complex investigations into serious misconduct and corrupt conduct, ensuring matters are progressed in a timely, effective and trauma-informed manner.

Provide clear, evidence-based reports and authoritative advice to senior executives and independent decision-makers on serious workplace conduct and ethical matters.

Design and deliver initiatives that strengthen ethical leadership, management capability and sound responses to performance and conduct issues.

Use trends,



intelligence and performance information to identify risk, improve systems and support ethical decision-making across QCS.

Build productive relationships with senior leaders, external integrity and oversight bodies, and other key partners.

Lead people, resources and competing priorities effectively, fostering a capable, resilient and accountable team culture.

What you will bring

You will be an accomplished executive with substantial experience directing complex workplace investigations and managing sensitive ethical issues in a large and complex organisation. You will bring sound judgement, advanced analytical capability and a strong understanding of relevant legislation, policy, procedural fairness and contemporary investigative practice.

Demonstrated leadership experience in developing and managing teams will be essential, as will the ability to negotiate with stakeholders who may have competing interests, translate complex requirements into practical guidance, and prepare high quality reports, briefings, policy papers and submissions. You will be a credible, resilient and principled leader who can provide frank advice, influence at senior levels and sustain high standards in a demanding environment.
