Director – Wealth and Financial Institutions

Build a specialist insurance practice and share in its future success.

This is a rare opportunity for an experienced financial lines insurance skilled to lead and grow an established Wealth Practice within a progressive Melbourne Insurtech.

You will manage complex insurance programs for clients across wealth management and financial services, working closely with insurers in Australia and Lloyd’s of London to secure strong coverage and commercial outcomes. You will also develop new business, strengthen referral relationships and contribute to the design of specialist insurance products.

The business combines experienced insurance advice with data and technology to improve risk insights, market access and client outcomes. You will have the autonomy to shape the practice and influence the broader direction of the business, with genuine potential for equity participation in the future.

The role

- Lead and grow the Wealth Practice
- Advise wealth management and financial services clients on complex insurance risks
- Build strong relationships with clients, referral partners and insurers
- Negotiate financial lines insurance placements in Australia and Lloyd’s of London
- Identify and convert new insurance opportunities




- Maintain international insurer relationships, including annual travel to London
- Contribute to specialist product development, strategy and growth
- Use technology and data to improve insurance solutions and client outcomes

About you You will bring at least five years of experience in financial lines broking, placement or specialist insurance advisory. You will understand the insurance needs of financial advisers, wealth businesses, investment platforms and other financial institutions.

Commercially minded and confident with senior stakeholders, you will know how to navigate complex risks, negotiate with insurers and build long-term client relationships. Relevant tertiary qualifications in Law, Finance or Commerce will be highly regarded.
