About the Role

Whoever You Are is seeking an active, reliable Senior Disability Support Worker / Direct Care Team Lead to deliver person-centred direct care and provide shift guidance across South East Queensland and Northern New South Wales. This is a mobile, field-based role delivering 1:1 direct community and in-home support, implementing positive behaviour support strategies, and supporting on-the-ground staff mentoring.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

- Direct Participant Care: Provide 1:1 direct care, personal care, manual handling (hoisting/transfers), meal preparation, and domestic assistance to participants.
- Community Access & Transport: Drive participants to medical appointments, allied health sessions, and community activities.




- Behaviour Support: Implement positive behaviour support strategies and individual support plans in accordance with NDIS standards.
- Field Guidance & Mentoring: Provide practical on-shift guidance, shadow-shifting, and mentoring to direct care staff.
- Shift Reporting: Maintain accurate shift logs, progress notes, and incident reports.

Qualifications & Experience Required:
- Experience: Minimum 12 months of direct care support experience in the disability sector (or AQF Certificate III in Individual Support / Community Services).
- Practical Skills: Competency in manual handling, mobility equipment, personal care, and medication assistance.
- Clearances: Active NDIS Worker Screening Check, current First Aid & CPR, valid Driver’s Licence, and insured vehicle.

Pay: $70,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
