Gold Coast Community Lifestyles (GCCL) is a local not-for-profit organisation with 25 years of experience supporting people with disability across the Gold Coast.

We're looking for experienced, reliable and genuinely caring Disability Support Workers to join our team.

We are also particularly interested in people who are available to work over the Christmas & New Year period, with additional hours available while members of our regular team take leave.

About the role

Depending on the participant, your role may include:

- Daily living and personal support
- Community access and social participation
- Supporting independence and skill development
- Appointments and activities
- Meal preparation and household tasks
- Complex disability and health-related support
- Following individual support and health care plans
- Positive Behaviour Support
- Working alongside families and allied health professionals
- Building genuine, respectful relationships
- Completing shift notes and documentation

Reliability is essential. Our participants depend on their Support Workers, so we need people who can commit to their agreed availability and follow through on their commitments

Essential:

- Minimum 2 years' disability sector experience
- Certificate III or higher in Disability, Individual Support, Community Services or related field
- NDIS Worker Screening Check / Blue Card as applicable
- First Aid & CPR
- Australian Driver's Licence
- Reliable, registered and comprehensively insured vehicle

Experience with complex disability, manual handling/hoisting, epilepsy, PEG feeding, medication, Positive Behaviour Support or allied health recommendations is highly valued. Don't have experience in everything? That's okay. Participant-specific training is provided. We're looking for the right attitude, values and willingness to learn

Christmas & New Year Availability

We're particularly interested in Support Workers who can work during:

Christmas | Boxing Day | New Year's Eve | Current Year's Day | Surrounding holiday period
