Role Description

The Disability Support Worker role at Jeonsa is a contract, on-site position based/headquartered in the Hawkesbury but will require traveling to multiple surrounding communities within the Western Sydney area like Nepean, Blue mountains, and Blacktown.

The role involves providing day-to-day support to people with disability, including assistance with personal care, daily living activities, and community access. The Disability Support Worker will help participants build life skills, follow support plans, and maintain a safe and respectful workplace.

Responsibilities include documenting progress notes, reporting concerns in line with safeguarding procedures, and communicating effectively with participants, families,



and colleagues. The worker will also collaborate with other support professionals and follow organizational policies and relevant legislation to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

- Experience as a Support Worker or in similar disability, community, or aged care roles.
- Strong Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities to build trust and rapport with participants and families.
- Knowledge of Safeguarding practices, duty of care, and incident reporting requirements.
- Basic Technical Support skills, including using mobile devices, documentation systems, and digital tools for record-keeping.
- Relevant qualification in disability support, community services, or equivalent experience.
- Understanding of person-centered and trauma-informed practice.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Current driver’s license, reliable transport, and appropriate working rights and clearances (e.g., NDIS Worker Screening, Working With Children Check) as required.

Pay: From $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 2.0 – 14.0 per week
