We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and reliable Disability Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality individual support to clients with physical, intellectual, or developmental disabilities. Your goal will be to promote independence, foster community inclusion, and assist clients with daily living activities while ensuring their safety, dignity, and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

- Daily Living & Personal Care: Assist clients with personal hygiene (showering, grooming, dressing), meal preparation, feeding assistance, and domestic support (light cleaning, laundry).
- Community Participation & Social Support: Accompany clients to social events, medical appointments, recreational activities, and shopping trips. Support clients in building independent living and social skills.
- Mobility & Physical Assistance: Safely assist clients with transfers, mobility aids, and physical support following individual care plans and safety protocols.
- Medication & Health Monitoring: Prompt and assist with medication administration according to care plans, monitor overall health and wellbeing, and report any changes promptly.
- Behavior Support: Implement positive behavior support strategies to assist clients in managing challenging behaviors in a calm, empathetic, and respectful manner.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate daily progress notes, report incidents,



and ensure all activities align with client Individual Support Plans (ISPs).

Requirements & Qualifications:

- Certifications: Certificate III / IV in Disability, Individual Support, Aged Care, or equivalent experience.
- Safety Checks: Valid Police Check, Working with Children Check (WWCC), and relevant disability worker screenings/clearances.
- First Aid: Current First Aid & CPR Certification.
- Driver's License: Valid Driver’s License and access to a reliable, registered vehicle (preferred).
- Skills: Solid communication skills, high empathy, patience, and physical capability for manual handling/transfers.
- Experience supporting individuals with Autism, developmental delays, or behaviours of concern (preferred).
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to care.

Requirements:

- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Working with Children Check.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- Hand Hygiene and Infection Prevention and Control certification.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle (desirable).
- Car Insurance.
- Right to Work in Australia.
- NDIS Orientation Modules.

Job Type: Casual Pay: $36.00 – $38.00 per hour
