About the role

Sunstate Support Services is a Bundaberg-based disability support provider seeking reliable and compassionate disability support workers to join our team as our participant base continues to expand. Our participants range in age, abilities and support needs, so we are looking for adaptable workers who are comfortable supporting different people and assisting them to achieve their individual goals.

Key responsibilities

- Provide personal care and community access support
- Assist with domestic assistance and meal preparation
- Support participants with appointments, social activities and exercise
- Assist with capacity building activities
- Support participants who use wheelchairs or require mobility assistance
- Perform physical support tasks safely and in accordance with individual support plans and training
- Work independently and as part of a team
- Follow participant support plans and organisational procedures

About you

- Dependable, professional and committed to rostered shifts
- Valuable communication skills
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrate respect for participant choice, dignity, privacy and independence
- Previous disability, aged care,



health or community services experience preferred but not essential
- Certificate III or higher qualification in individual support, disability, community services, health or a related field highly regarded
- Willing to learn, complete relevant training and develop a career within the disability sector
- NDIS worker screening clearance (yellow card), working with children (blue card), first aid, CPR, police check required or willing to obtain
- Current driver licence with access to a reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance
- Flexible availability across weekdays, evenings and weekends highly regarded
