Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. The Nepean Campus has recently experienced tremendous growth and aims to support communities within and outside of Sydney’s western suburbs, providing world-class clinical facilities, services, and care.

Lead one of Nepean Hospital’s most dynamic and critical service streams. An outstanding opportunity exists for an experienced and strategic leader to join the Critical Care Stream as a Divisional Manager, playing a pivotal role in shaping operational excellence across Emergency Department and Intensive Care Services.

As a key member of the Divisional Executive Team (Triumvirate), you will work in partnership with Clinical Directors and Nurse Managers to ensure the efficient and effective strategic and operational performance of the Critical Care Stream.



This influential leadership position has complex inter-dependencies and is responsible for providing sound operational and business advice across the stream, while also supporting the Deputy General Manager on performance and operational matters. What you will bring to the role

1. Extensive experience in a senior management role within a complex healthcare environment and demonstrated high level competence in management and leadership of Health services.
2. A comprehensive knowledge of National, State and Local Health District Policy directions.
3. High level expertise, knowledge and experience in partnerships with consumers,



carers and health related organisations in the non-government sector and government sector.
4. Demonstrated competence and experience in all aspects of financial management to maintain service delivery within the Service while improving efficiency.
5. Demonstrated ability to lead and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while managing expectations, competing priorities and deadlines of the service and senior executive.
6. Demonstrated competency in project management including strategic planning, implementation and evaluation.
7. Highly developed interpersonal and written communication skills and high level conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Demonstrated proficient use of computers and variety of software application including Microsoft Office programs.
