Laser Wizard Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Draftsperson with a background in sheet metal manufacturing to join our team in St Marys, NSW. This full-time role is responsible for preparing accurate and detailed production drawings, flat patterns and CAD files for a range of sheet metal and engineering projects. As a key member of our Engineering team, you will work closely with Estimating, Production and clients to ensure designs are practical, accurate and ready for manufacture.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop detailed and accurate technical drawings for the sheet metal components and assemblies using Inventor and AutoCAD.

- Communicate with clients and collaborating with internal teams to ensure design accuracy and feasibility, addressing any concerns or inquiries promptly and professionally

- Collaborate with the office team to ensure smooth operations and effective workflow





- Utilize your mechanical aptitude to understand and assist with technical aspects of the production process

- Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and procedures.

- Obtain a detailed insight into and assist in the pre-production process

Skills &

Experience required:

- Experience in sheet metal fabrication, laser cutting, bending, welding, etc.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and internal teams

- Advanced/Expert level of Computer literacy and proficiency in Inventor and AutoCAD is required.

- Mechanical aptitude and understanding of sheet metal manufacturing processes

- Ability to produce detailed workshop, fabrication and assembly drawings

- Experience with nesting / programming software taken with high regard
