We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Dry Goods Leading Hand to join our team. This role is responsible for leading and supporting the Dry Goods team, coordinating daily activities and ensuring stock and materials are available to support smooth production and operational requirements.

The successful candidate will work closely with Supervisors and other departments, provide guidance to team members, assist with stock control and ensure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and support the Dry Goods team to ensure daily operations run smoothly
- Allocate daily tasks and provide clear instructions and guidance to team members
- Ensure dry goods and stock are available, correctly stored and easily accessible
- Monitor stock levels and assist with stock control and inventory management
- Check stock and materials as required and report any shortages or issues to the relevant Supervisor
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area at all times
- Ensure all team members follow workplace policies, procedures and WHS requirements
- Support the team to meet daily production and operational requirements
- Communicate effectively with Supervisors, production teams and other departments
- Assist with training, induction and ongoing support of team members




- Identify and report any safety, quality, stock or operational issues
- Provide support to the Supervisor and assist with the day-to-day running of the Dry Goods area

Skills & Experience

- Previous experience in a warehouse, production, manufacturing or similar environment is highly regarded
- Previous experience in a leading hand, team leader or supervisory role is an advantage
- Valuable computer skills and the ability to use basic workplace systems
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate stock information
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment
- Ability to work as part of a team and confidently provide guidance to other employees
- Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to daily tasks
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Ability to follow company policies, procedures and instructions
- Reliable, punctual and willing to take responsibility for the smooth operation of the Dry Goods area
