Empowered Little Minds | Elderslie, NSW NEW child care centre under new management | Monday to Friday

Empowered Little Minds is beginning a new chapter under new management. We’re building a team that will help make our Elderslie centre a place where children feel safe, known and excited to learn.

Our approach is warm, practical and centred on relationships. We want children to have room to explore, play and build confidence, while families feel welcome and informed. As we grow the service, our educators will have a real opportunity to help shape its routines, learning environments and team culture.

We’re inviting applications from Certificate III educators, Diploma educators and Early Childhood Teachers. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available, with work scheduled Monday to Friday.

About the role

Working with the centre team, you will:

- Build caring, respectful relationships with children and families
- Supervise children and support their safety, wellbeing and daily routines
- Plan and take part in play-based learning experiences suited to children’s interests and development
- Observe and document learning, and contribute to the educational program
- Create welcoming, inclusive indoor and outdoor environments
- Communicate clearly with families and colleagues
- Follow the service’s child safety, health, hygiene and reporting procedures
- Help establish positive routines and a collaborative culture as the centre grows

Early Childhood Teachers will also help guide curriculum planning and teaching practice in line with their role.

You bring a solid commitment to child safety, professional practice and helping every child feel they belong.

Qualifications and requirements

Applicants should have the qualifications relevant to the position they are seeking:

- Educator: an ACECQA-approved Certificate III level education and care qualification, or be actively working towards one
- Diploma educator: an ACECQA-approved Diploma level education and care qualification, or meet the applicable “actively working towards” requirements
- Early Childhood Teacher: an approved early childhood teaching qualification and current NSW teacher accreditation appropriate to the role

Successful applicants must hold a current NSW Working with Children Check clearance that can be verified by the service and complete the child protection and child safety training required for their role. Current approved first aid, CPR, anaphylaxis and emergency asthma training is valued; please include any training you hold in your application.
