About the role

Perfect Beginnings Montessori is seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our team at our Holland Park. This is a 4-5 day position, offering a rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of young children during their crucial early developmental years. As an Early Childhood Teacher, you will play a vital role in fostering a nurturing, inclusive and stimulating learning environment where children can thrive emotionally, socially, cognitively and physically.

Your expertise and enthusiasm will directly contribute to the centre's commitment to providing high-quality early childhood education and care through the Montessori approach.

Key responsibilities:

1. Plan, implement and evaluate developmentally appropriate learning experiences and activities that promote children's growth across all developmental domains in our beautiful Montessori classroom.

2. Provide safe, nurturing care and supervision to children, maintaining high standards of hygiene and health and safety practices.

3. Build positive relationships with children and families, maintaining open communication and supporting each child's individual learning journey.

4. Observe and assess children's development, documenting progress and identifying areas for targeted support or enrichment.

5. Work collaboratively with fellow educators, families and other professionals to provide holistic support for each child's wellbeing and learning.

6. Create and maintain a welcoming, inclusive classroom environment that reflects diversity and respects each child's cultural background and individual needs.

7. Implement behaviour guidance strategies that are positive, consistent and developmentally appropriate.

8. Maintain detailed records, complete required documentation and contribute to centre operations and quality improvement initiatives.

9.



Participate in professional development and stay current with early childhood education practices and regulatory requirements.

10. Support transition periods such as arrivals, departures and meal times with patience and care.

What we're looking for:

1. Current recognised early childhood teaching qualification with more than 2 years experience running a Kindy room. Please do not apply if you are a recent graduate diploma.

2. Valid Working with Children Check (Blue Card) for Queensland

3. Current First Aid and CPR certification appropriate for early childhood settings

4. Demonstrated experience (3 years or more) working with children in early childhood education and care settings

5. Strong knowledge of child development, play-based learning and contemporary early childhood education philosophies. Ability and interest in learning Montessori teaching

6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues

7. Commitment to creating inclusive, culturally responsive learning environments

8. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team whilst demonstrating professional responsibility and initiative

9. Understanding of and commitment to meeting the National Quality Standard and Early Years Learning Framework requirements

10. Physical capability to support the practical demands of working with young children
