Council is seeking a passionate and experienced Early Childhood Educator or Teacher to take on the dedicated role of Educational Leader across our Childcare services.

This role provides an exciting opportunity to inspire, mentor and support educators in delivering high quality educational programs and experiences for children. The Educational Leader will work closely with Lead Educators and the wider Early Years Learning & Development team to promote excellence, continuous improvement and professional practice.

The role is well supported across the Early Years Learning & Development team and the broader Council, with access to ongoing career development and opportunities to strengthen leadership capability.

The position aligns with National Quality Standard 7.2, which recognises that effective leadership builds and promotes a positive organisational culture and professional learning community.

The successful applicant will:

- Liaise regularly with Lead Educators across each room to provide guidance, support and professional collaboration.
- Review Lead Educators’ curriculum plans and provide feedback to support continuous improvement and the achievement of high-quality outcomes.
- Support and encourage educators to confidently engage in the planning cycle.
- Identify professional development opportunities and areas for growth within the team.
- Provide input and guidance to Team Leaders in the development and implementation of the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).
- Ensure educational experiences,



environments and provocations are purposeful and effectively support children’s learning and development.
- Guide and support educators by providing relevant information, resources and strategies to enhance children’s learning outcomes.
- Model positive, respectful and pro-social behaviours and promote a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
- Encourage reflective practice and professional conversations that contribute to ongoing improvement across the service.

This is a temporary full time position until 13 November 2027, with a salary in accordance with the Early Education Employees Agreement superannuation.
