Genus is seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Supervisor to join our team on the Koolunga Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Project, located near Clare, South Australia. This is an excellent opportunity to take a hands-on leadership role on a major renewable energy project. You will supervise E&I; construction activities, coordinate site crews and ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with project requirements.

Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of electrical and instrumentation works across the project.

Responsibilities will include:

- Supervising electricians, instrumentation technicians, leading hands and trade assistants.
- Coordinating daily work fronts, labour, materials, tools and equipment.
- Overseeing electrical and instrumentation installation activities.
- Supervising cable support systems, cable installation, terminations and equipment installation.
- Supporting HV and LV electrical, control, protection and instrumentation works.
- Ensuring work is completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and project schedules.
- Conducting pre-start meetings, toolbox talks and daily work planning.
- Monitoring productivity, quality and progress against project targets.
- Coordinating with engineering, construction, commissioning, quality and SHEQ teams.
- Identifying and resolving site constraints before they affect the construction schedule.
- Completing daily reports, timesheets and relevant project documentation.
- Supporting inspections, testing, pre-commissioning and handover activities.
- Leading by example and maintaining a strong safety culture across the worksite.





About You To be successful in this position, you will ideally have:

- Previous experience supervising E&I; crews on major construction projects.
- A current South Australian electrical licence
- Experience within renewable energy, substations, power infrastructure, utilities, resources or heavy industrial construction.
- Robust knowledge of electrical and instrumentation installation practices.
- Experience coordinating trades, work fronts, materials and project priorities.
- The ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical specifications.
- Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
- A commitment to safety, quality and environmental compliance.
- A current Construction White Card.
- A current driver’s licence.
- Current CPR and Low Voltage Rescue certification.
- Full Australian working rights.
