Roster: 8 days on / 6 days off – FIFO Perth

About Us

Meeka Metals Limited (MEK) operates Western Australia’s newest gold mine, the Murchison Gold Project, 50kms north of Meekatharra and requires an experienced Electrical Supervisor.

The project comprises both open pit and underground mining, with an initial mine life of 9 years. Gold production commenced in July 2025 and site activities are rapidly ramping up.

About the Role The Electrical Supervisor will report into the Electrical Superintendent and will have a hands-on leadership approach responsible for supervising electrical maintenance, installations and breakdown activities across the operation. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring electrical work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard, while maintaining electrical compliance and supporting the reliable operation of the processing plant and site infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and supervise the site electrical team and contractors.

- Plan and coordinate preventative and corrective electrical maintenance.

- Manage electrical breakdowns and minimise plant downtime.

- Supervise electrical installations, modifications and commissioning.

- Coordinate electrical isolations, permits and access requirements.

- Maintain electrical inspection, testing and compliance documentation.

- Provide technical support for electrical fault finding.

- Coordinate with maintenance, processing and operational teams.

- Allocate daily work and monitor job completion.

- Assist with shutdown planning and major maintenance activities.

- Mentor electricians and apprentices.

- Identify opportunities to improve plant reliability and electrical safety.

- Promote a solid safety culture and lead by example.

- Ensure compliance with MEK safety policies, The Work Health and Safety Act 2020 and the Work Health and Safety (Mines)



Regulations 2022 as well as other appropriate legislation.

About You

- Trade certificate and current WA ‘A’ Grade Electrical Licence.

- Instrumentation and High Voltage Switching Operations qualification.

- Schedule 26.

- Extensive experience as a Statutory Appointed Electrical Supervisor in Mining Operations.

- In-depth knowledge of Western Australian mining regulations and electrical standards.

- A high standard of fault finding and trouble-shooting ability.

- Pronto system experience highly regarded.

- Valid C Western Australian Drivers Licence.

- Current senior First Aid Certificate.

- Valid National Police Clearance.
