Electrician / Electrical & Instrumentation

NRGGOS is currently seeking to appoint a fixed-term Electrician through to 31 July 2027 to join the Maintenance Department. This position will work Monday to Friday, 36.25 hours per week on a 9-day fortnight basis.

As a key member of the electrical workgroup, you will operate in a team committed to maintaining a safe working environment, with a strong focus on hazardous area electrical work. Your primary responsibilities will include:

- Carrying out specialised maintenance activities on electrical equipment in hazardous areas (EEHA)

- Providing timely, high-quality repairs/inspections with particular emphasis on hazardous area systems and compliance

- Delivering input into planning, standards, procedures and systems.

EEHA (Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas) certification and experience is highly regarded and will be a significant advantage for this role.

Essential Qualifications and Attributes include:

- Relevant trade qualifications (Electrical Fitter Mechanic)

- Certificate III or IV in Instrumentation would be highly regarded

- EEHA (Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas) certification would be highly regarded

- Demonstrated hands on experience with Hazardous Area installations, Relevant Australian Standards, and Hazardous Area installation inspections.

- Experience in power stations or other heavy industry would be highly regarded

- Good communication skills

- Self-motivated and results driven

- Successful completion of a drug and alcohol test and pre-employment medical
