Electronic Equipment Trades Worker - Mobile Phone, Tablet & Console Repair Technician

Sydney Mobile Phone Repairs (Sydney Telweb Pty Ltd) is an established repair centre in Kingsgrove, trading since 2012 and an Apple Independent Repair Provider. We are looking for an experienced Electronic Equipment Trades Worker to join our busy repair workshop.

This is a skilled trade role - NOT an entry-level or trainee position.

THE ROLE

You will diagnose, repair, test and maintain electronic equipment, mainly:

- iPhone and Samsung smartphones
- iPads and other tablets
- PlayStation, Xbox and other gaming consoles (including HDMI port repairs)
- Screens, batteries, cameras, charging ports, connectors and internal flex cables
- Component-level soldering and circuit board repairs
- Fault finding using diagnostic tools and test equipment
- Recording repairs, parts used and test results
- Quality-checking all repairs before return to the customer
- Explaining faults and repair options to customers

ABOUT YOU

- Minimum 3 years' skilled experience repairing mobile phones / electronic equipment (or Cert III in Electronics or equivalent)




- Strong soldering and fault-diagnosis skills
- Confident with charging ports, connectors and iPad flex cables
- Gaming console repair experience highly regarded
- Fast, accurate and organised - around 15+ completed jobs per day depending on complexity
- High quality workmanship with a low comeback rate
- Able to work independently
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to communicate with customers in English

WHAT WE OFFER

- $80,000 - $85,000 per year + superannuation (depending on experience)
