Vacuum Excavation Operators and Plant operatorsSheppard Earthmoving is seeking experienced Plant Operators and Vacuum Excavation Truck Operators to join our team in Toowoomba, Queensland.
As a full-time position, you will be responsible for the protected and efficient operation of a range of plant to support our projects across the region.What you'll be doingSafely operate and maneuver a variety of plant, including vacuum excavation trucks, excavators, loaders, skid steer loaders, tip trucks, and under bore machinesPerform daily pre-start checks and routine maintenance on assigned equipmentCommunicate effectively with the site supervisor and other team members to coordinate plant usageAdhere to all safety policies and procedures to maintain a protected work environmentProvide high-quality work and contribute to the successful delivery of construction projectsWhat we're looking forMinimum 2 years' experience operating mobile plant, including excavators, front-end loaders,



skid steer loaders and tip trucks.Vacuum excavation experience is not essential — full training will be provided to the right candidate.Current MR or higher driver's licence.Current White Card (General Construction Induction).
Strong understanding of protected plant operation, basic maintenance and equipment care.Ability to work safely and effectively as part of a team, as well as independently and with minimal supervision across a range of projects.Strong communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills.A proactive and reliable approach to work, with a commitment to quality workmanship and maintaining high safety standards.Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different equipment, worksites and project requirements.What we offerAt Sheppard Earthmoving, we pride ourselves on providing a supportive and inclusive work environment.
