We're seeking a motivated and experienced Environmental Advisor to join our Environment, Approvals and Community (EAC) team. Reporting to the Environmental Superintendent, you'll play a key role in supporting environmental compliance, monitoring programs, reporting obligations, and continuous improvement initiatives across our operation.

This is an excellent opportunity for an environmental professional who enjoys a balance of field-based work, regulatory compliance, stakeholder engagement, and project delivery while contributing to positive environmental outcomes at a long-life mining operation.

Key Responsibilities

- Demonstrate a solid commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and compliance with site standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the site's Environmental Management System.
- Assist in the management of environmental programs covering land, water, waste, hazardous substances, regulated structures, and exploration activities.
- Coordinate environmental monitoring and compliance activities across site.
- Prepare and assist with statutory and corporate environmental reporting, including NGERS, NPI, DES waste reporting, permit returns, and internal reporting requirements.
- Deliver environmental training, awareness programs, inspections, contractor management activities, and incident investigations.
- Provide practical environmental advice and support to operational teams regarding environmental obligations and best practices.
- Coordinate and deliver environmental projects that support compliance, sustainability, and continuous improvement outcomes.
- Support the Environment,



Approvals and Community team across a range of environmental and community initiatives.

About You

You are a proactive environmental professional with mining industry experience and a passion for achieving strong environmental and operational outcomes. You enjoy working collaboratively with stakeholders, solving problems, and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and environmental responsibility.

- Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a mining environmental role.
- Sound understanding of Environmental Management Systems and Queensland environmental legislation.
- Experience coordinating environmental monitoring, compliance, and reporting activities.
- Experience preparing internal and external environmental reports.
- Demonstrated experience managing environmental consultants and contractors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, GIS systems, and environmental databases.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver quality outcomes within required timeframes.
- Strong commitment to safety, environmental compliance, and teamwork.
