We are seeking an experienced Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence Developer to join a Health Intelligence team supporting the delivery of trusted, high-quality data across a complex healthcare environment.

This position will suit a technically accomplished developer with strong expertise across the Microsoft SQL Server technology stack, advanced SQL development and enterprise data warehousing. You will be responsible for developing data integration solutions, completing complex data extractions and transformations, and supporting the ongoing improvement of the organisation’s data warehouse and reporting capability.

Key responsibilities

- Design, develop and maintain enterprise data warehouse solutions.
- Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures and database objects.
- Build, enhance and support ETL processes using SSIS.
- Use C# to enhance SSIS tasks and support CLR integration and Windows Services.
- Design dimensional data models to support reporting, analytics and business intelligence.
- Extract, transform and integrate data from complex clinical and corporate systems.
- Investigate data quality, integration and performance issues.
- Translate technical data into meaningful information for healthcare, operational and improvement-focused audiences.
- Work closely with technical teams, analysts, clinicians and business stakeholders.
- Contribute to the continued development and optimisation of the enterprise data warehouse.

Essential experience
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline.




- At least five years’ experience in business intelligence, data warehousing or data integration.
- Advanced SQL development skills and a strong understanding of database design.
- Strong knowledge of the Microsoft SQL Server stack, including SSMS, SSAS and SSIS.
- Demonstrated experience using C# to enhance SSIS tasks, facilitate CLR integration and develop or support Windows Services.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing principles, data modelling and dimensional modelling.
- Proven experience completing complex data extractions and transformations.
- Advanced analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Highly regarded
- Previous experience within a hospital or healthcare environment.
- Experience translating complex data for healthcare, service-improvement or clinical audiences.
- Experience working with a large and complex enterprise data warehouse.
- Working knowledge of the iPM Patient Administration System.
- Working knowledge of the Epic Electronic Medical Record platform, particularly Epic Clarity.
- Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline, or current progress towards such qualifications.
