Detailed Excavator Operator / HR Driver – Residential Construction

Experienced Excavator Operator? We Want Someone Who Knows How to Dig it Right.

Homes & Granny Flats is growing, and we're looking for a Detailed Excavator Operator who can also operate an HR truck to join our construction team.

This is a hands-on role working across homes, granny flats and residential construction projects. We're looking for someone who can jump on the machine, read the site, work accurately and get the job done without needing to be told every step.

What You'll Be Doing

- Operate excavators confidently and safely on residential sites.
- Undertake detailed excavation, trenching, footings, drainage and site preparation.
- Work around existing structures, services and other trades.
- Read levels, plans and site instructions.
- Load, transport and unload materials and equipment using HR vehicles.
- Carry out daily machine and equipment checks.
- Work closely with Site Supervisors and construction crews.
- Keep work areas clean, safe and organised.
- Help with general site duties when required.

What We're Looking For We're after an experienced operator, not someone looking to learn on the job.

You'll have





- Solid experience operating excavators in construction.
- Detailed excavation work experience
- Screw Piling experience
- Current HR Licence, abulity to drive an 8 wheeler with Hiab
- Relevant excavator tickets/licences.
- Construction experience, ideally residential.
- Current White Card.
- Positive understanding of site safety and underground services.
- Ability to work independently and take direction when required.
- A reliable attitude and pride in your workmanship.
