Shire of Mundaring is seeking an experienced and highly organised Executive Assistant to provide confidential, customer-focused executive and administrative support to the Director Place and Community and the broader Directorate.
Working within a confidential and politically sensitive environment, you will proactively coordinate communications, reporting and administrative processes that support the efficient operation of the Directorate.
Key responsibilities include:
- providing high-level executive and administrative support for the directorate
- preparing reports, briefing notes, correspondence and presentations
- coordinating corporate reporting, council decisions, councillor requests and responses to enquiries
- researching, collating and analysing information to support decision-making
- coordinating the Australian Citizen of the Year Awards and Citizen of the Year School Awards
- supporting local ANZAC ceremonies and related activities
- providing administrative support for directorate procurement activities
- identifying and implementing improvements to administrative processes, workflows, templates and documentation
- providing leadership and guidance to administrative employees in the directorate to support quality and timely service delivery.
To be successful in this role, you will have sound experience providing high-level and confidential executive support, together with excellent organisational, communication and relationship-building skills.
You will be confident managing competing priorities with limited direction and able to produce professional reports, presentations and publications.
You will also have:
- strong research, analytical and information technology skills
- comprehensive knowledge of administrative business processes
- demonstrated experience using Microsoft 365, particularly Outlook, Word, Teams and Excel
- a formal post-secondary qualification in office administration studies or equivalent.
Knowledge of local government processes, legislative frameworks and council meeting conventions will be highly regarded. A salary in the range of $87,925 to $92,761 per annum will be offered based on qualifications, ability and experience, as well as a range of advantages including:
