We're excited to welcome an Executive Director Allied Health (EDAH) to our Executive team.

The EDAH is a key member of the Executive and is accountable for providing strategic clinical governance, strategic and workforce planning and authoritative allied health advice to the Executive and directorates / facilities in alignment with the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) and statewide strategic and national goals and initiatives.

The EDAH provides professional leadership and clinical governance for approx. 1300 FTE across the SCHHS. The position is also responsible for operational management of the acute and subacute allied health, administration and volunteer / spiritual care workforce (approx. 700 FTE).

As the professional leader the EDAH will be responsible for ensuring that allied health services provided by the SCHHS operate in a safe, effective, efficient and interdisciplinary manner and are delivered to the highest professional and ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities include:

Manage an operating budget of approx. $98 million for the acute and subacute allied health sector (including administration workforce).

Contribute to the broad strategic agenda of the organisation and its performance through membership of the Executive.

Manage the overarching governance and management of the allied health acute and subacute workforce (including administration workforce) across the directorates and the facilities to ensure oversight of accountabilities, and performance against agreed strategies and in line with performance monitoring requirements.

Develop and oversee the allied health professional and workforce plan and support the execution of processes that attract and retain the allied health workforce: recruitment, appointment, commencement, orientation,



credentialing and defining scope of practice, rostering, ensuring adequate registration and compliance with relevant immigration policies to ensure workforce and clinical service continuity.

Provide high level strategic, professional and operational leadership and support to the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards (NSQHSS) to ensure patient safety and patient centred care is a fundamental focus of the health service through the development of robust processes to manage and mitigate clinical risk.

Remuneration value up to $285,166 p.a., comprising salary between $204,352 - $249,935 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP8).
