About the role
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Executive Officer will provide high-level executive, governance and administrative support and play an important role in coordinating the CEO's office. This is a trusted position requiring discretion, initiative, robust judgement and the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy executive environment.
Key responsibilities
- Providing high-level executive support to the CEO
- Coordinating correspondence, briefings, reports and executive documentation
- Supporting Board and governance processes
- Coordinating meetings, agendas, papers and follow-up actions
- Monitoring executive priorities, commitments and deadlines
- Liaising professionally with staff, Directors, government, regulators, community organisations and external stakeholders
- Maintaining appropriate confidentiality and records
- Supporting organisational projects and continuous improvement initiatives

About you
You will be highly organised, adaptable and confident working with senior executives and stakeholders.
You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
Experience in executive support, governance, administration, community housing, Aboriginal organisations, government or the not-for-profit sector will be highly regarded.
Importantly, you will bring a respectful and collaborative approach and an understanding of the importance of culturally safe engagement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities.
