Experienced General Dentist – Established Patient Book

You may already be an experienced dentist, but you still enjoy learning, discussing cases and finding better ways to care for your patients.

Morphett Vale Dental Care is looking for an experienced general dentist to join our independently owned practice from February 2027.

The position is available due to maternity leave and comes with an established patient book and planned clinical handover.

You will initially work Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from February 2027 until January 2028. When our dentist returns from maternity leave on Wednesday and Friday, Tuesday will remain available to you as an ongoing day.

There may also be opportunities for additional leave coverage or further days as the practice develops, although Tuesday is the ongoing day we can confidently offer.

Who we are looking for

We are not simply looking for someone to fill a chair.

We would like to meet an experienced dentist who still loves what they do, remains curious and believes there is always more to learn.

You will be confident working independently across a broad range of general dentistry, while also enjoying the opportunity to discuss cases, exchange ideas and learn from the clinicians around you.

Clinical autonomy is important to us, but so is collaboration. You will have the freedom to practise in your own way without feeling as though you are working in isolation.

Ideally, you will:

- Have around three or more years of recent clinical experience,



preferably in Australian private practice
- Hold current unrestricted AHPRA registration
- Be confident with diagnosis and comprehensive treatment planning
- Be comfortable providing a broad range of general dental treatment
- Value evidence-based dentistry and ongoing learning
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients
- Enjoy collaborating with dentists, hygienists, oral health therapists and dental assistants
- Be reliable and committed to continuity of patient care
- Take pride in the quality of your work without losing sight of the person you are treating

Experience in restorative dentistry, crown and bridge, endodontics, emergency care, CEREC or digital dentistry would be valuable. However, sound clinical judgement, communication and alignment with our values are more key than providing every procedure. What the position offers
