My Legal Lawyers is a growing legal practice based in Melbourne, currently practising in Immigration, Commercial and Property Law.

As part of our expansion, we are establishing a dedicated Family Law practice and are seeking an experienced Australian legal practitioner to join us under a Family Law partnership/practice arrangement.

The Opportunity

This is an chance for an experienced Family Lawyer to build and lead the Family Law practice within an established legal practice and business environment.

The successful practitioner will be expected to independently manage and take carriage of Family Law matters from initial consultation through to finalisation, including negotiations, mediations and court proceedings.

- Legal practice software and subscriptions;
- Website and marketing support;
- Office and practice-related infrastructure; and
- An established business platform from which to develop the Family Law practice.

The arrangement provides an opportunity to participate in the growth and professional revenue of the Family Law practice. The commercial terms, responsibilities and revenue arrangements will be agreed and documented in a formal written agreement.

About You

We are seeking an experienced Family Lawyer who:

- Is admitted as an Australian legal practitioner and holds a current practicing certificate;
- Has substantial practical Family Law experience;
- Can independently manage matters from initial instructions through to finalisation;




- Has experience in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia;
- Is confident in client advice, negotiation, drafting, advocacy and court work;
- Can manage files, deadlines and client relationships independently; and
- Has an interest in developing and growing a Family Law practice on a long-term basis.

Experience in parenting, property/financial disputes, divorce, family violence matters, financial agreements, mediation and court proceedings will be highly regarded.

Partnership / Practice Arrangement

This is intended as a Family Law practice partnership opportunity, rather than a conventional salaried employment position.

My Legal Lawyers will provide the business infrastructure, client enquiries and practice support, while the successful practitioner will contribute their professional expertise and independently conduct Family Law matters.

The final structure and terms, including responsibilities, qualified obligations, costs, insurance, billing and revenue arrangements, will be subject to a formal written agreement and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
