SAHR is seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced Project Management professionals for full-time permanent opportunities supporting current and upcoming Defence and Federal Government programs.

We partner with government agencies, prime contractors, and industry leaders to deliver specialised project delivery, commercial, procurement, engineering, logistics, and advisory services across some of Australia's most complex and strategically significant programs.

The Opportunity

As part of SAHR's growing Program & Technical service line, you will contribute to the planning, governance, and delivery of Defence and Federal Government capability programs across acquisition, integration, sustainment, capability development, and transition-to-service activities.

Our engagements provide the opportunity to work closely with Defence stakeholders, program offices, capability managers, and industry partners to deliver critical national capability outcomes. Projects may span Defence capability domains including ICT, communications, space, SATCOM, infrastructure, engineering, and complex systems integration environments.

- Performance Reporting and Executive Briefings





Who We're Looking For We are keen to speak with candidates at the following levels:

- Senior Consultant (2–5 years' experience)
- Manager (5+ years' experience)

About You

You will bring

- Experience delivering projects or programs within Defence, Federal Government, or similarly complex environments
- Demonstrated experience supporting major capital acquisition projects, capability delivery programs, or enterprise transformation initiatives
- Experience managing project scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, issues, and project governance activities
- Experience developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, forecasts, status reports, and executive-level briefings
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams across Defence, industry, suppliers, and external stakeholders
- Experience contributing to procurement activities, Request for Tender (RFT) processes, industry engagement, or approach-to-market activities
- Strong understanding of project delivery frameworks, governance processes, and capability lifecycle management
- Experience supporting acquisition, integration, test and evaluation, transition-to-service, and sustainment activities
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and relationship management skills
- The ability to operate effectively within complex, high-profile project environments

Experience in one or more of the following will be highly regarded:
- Defence or Federal Government environments
- Defence Industry organisations
- Complex asset-intensive industries




- Consulting or advisory services
- Space, SATCOM, ICT, communications, network, engineering, or infrastructure programs
- Complex systems integration projects

The following qualifications are desirable:
- AIPM Certified Practising Project Manager (CPPM) or equivalent
- PMI Project Management Qualified (PMP)
- PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent project management certification

Security Clearance

- NV1 or higher required (Baseline considered depending on role and project)
