As a result of significant growth, we are open to hearing from the below levels who are interested in joining our Financial Crime - Technology, Data & AI team:
- Specialists (3 - 6 years' experience);
- Executives (6+ years' experience); and/or
- Directors.
You will be an integral member of a team delivering financial crime solutions for a variety of strategic clients across industry sectors. You can expect to work closely with your colleagues in Risk Advisory and legal teams to support our clients to understand, manage and respond to financial crime risk and regulatory/legal requirements, delivering through a broad range of engagements.
Our technology, data and AI capability is the engine behind much of this work; building, testing, tuning, and validating the systems and models our clients rely on to detect financial crime, and finding better ways to do it.
Working with our lead partners, you will be a core part of a team who works with strategic clients across multiple sectors,
particularly financial services, gaming, energy & resources, and government, on significant financial crime matters, specifically including Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF), Economic and Trade Sanctions (Sanctions), Fraud/Scams and Anti-Bribery & Corruption (ABC).
Our Risk Advisory division is made up of subject matter experts across multiple areas of risk expertise, yet we all collaborate closely to solve our clients' problems in the most holistic way possible. This allows you to not only build up your specialised expertise but also gain access to a broad range of expertise, clients, industries, and ways of working.

The day-to-day responsibilities of the role will vary depending on the level, however across all levels we are interested in hearing from you if:
- You have working familiarity of Australian AML/CTF, sanctions, ABC or fraud/scams obligations and contemporary regulatory expectations, in a client facing role within well-regarded consulting firm.
- You have experience either in data analytics, data science, or quantitative risk in a major organisation, or in a client-facing role within a well-respected consulting firm.
- You have strong SQL and Python, with hands-on analysis of transaction and customer data.
- You have experience assessing, tuning or independently validating one or more financial crime detection and screening platforms, or equivalent in-house capabilities built on modern cloud data platforms.
- You have sound written and sound presentation skills, with a focus on attention to detail.
- You have proven experience engaging with client stakeholders with the ability to clearly communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and to support the team in engagement with senior client stakeholders.
- You're passionate about collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team and have experience supporting multiple projects throughout their entire engagement lifecycle, including experience with proposals, pre- engagement activities, producing high quality deliverables, conducting stakeholder workshops, issuing final reports and billing.
- You're not afraid to have your own view and you approach challenging problems with both confidence and humility, while also embracing alternate viewpoints.
