About the role

As a Field Sales Representative, you will be responsible for visiting and developing solid relationships with new and existing customers, providing excellent customer service, product support and advice, including onsite support and guidance. You will identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions, prepare quotations and process orders, and build positive working relationships with trading partners to support the ongoing growth of the brand and Group reputation. You will manage your own customer base and sales activities across the Ballarat region and surrounding areas.

Key responsibilities

- Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers to identify and increase sales opportunities
- Identify customer needs and provide appropriate product and service recommendations
- Present and sell products and services to meet or exceed sales targets
- Prepare and deliver quotations and proposals
- Manage the sales process from initial contact through to order processing and follow-up
- Respond promptly to customer enquiries and resolve issues or complaints professionally
- Provide onsite product support and guidance to customers where required
- Maintain a strong understanding of product offerings, industry trends, and competitor activity
- Complete relevant administrative duties, including ordering, sales processing, and customer invoicing

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- The ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a team
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Previous experience in the automotive paint, spray-painting or panel-beating industries is highly regarded
- A genuine interest in developing a career in sales
- A current driver's licence
