The key duties of the position include:

The Library is seeking to fill an ongoing APS5 Coordinator, Foundation and Friends role in the Philanthropy Section of the Office of the Director-General Branch.

As the Coordinator, Foundation and Friends, you will provide administrative support for the Library’s Philanthropy section; administrative support for the National Library Foundation, a sub-committee of the Library’s Council with responsibilities for engaging supporters and raising funds. You will manage the Library’s relationship with the Friends of the National Library of Australia Inc (Friends),



providing support for governance, administration, communications and events activities and ensuring an ongoing and mutually beneficial relationship between the Library and the Friends.

These activities underpin the Library’s relationships with patrons, donors, and Friends, and will require both administrative capacity and relationship management skills.

We are looking for a confident communicator with strengths in collaboration, administration, and financial management.

The following experience would be highly regarded:

- Qualifications or equivalent experience in business, arts, humanities, or a related discipline.
- Experience in philanthropic fundraising, community relations, partnership management, event delivery, or working with committees.

Eligibility

Applicants should be Australian citizens to be eligible for APS employment.

The preferred applicants will be required to successfully undergo a police record check and must be willing to disclose all relevant and required information.
