About the Role n

We are looking for a Merchant Onboarding Associate to join our Melbourne team and support merchant activation across Australia.

n

As the dedicated Merchant Onboarding team member in Melbourne , you will take ownership of onboarding cases and work closely with Business Development, Compliance, and HQ Operations to ensure merchants progress from signed agreement through to successful activation.

n

You will coordinate across internal teams, review onboarding and KYC documentation, identify outstanding requirements, manage onboarding pipelines, and ensure cases are progressed accurately and within SLA.

This role is ideal for someone who is highly-organised, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership in a fast-paced fintech environment.

What You’ll Do n

n
- Manage the end-to-end merchant onboarding process from signed agreement to activation
n
- Review and validate KYC and onboarding documentation for completeness and accuracy
n
- Identify missing or incorrect information and coordinate with Business Development to resolve outstanding requirements
n
- Work closely with Business Development, Compliance, and HQ Operations to progress merchant applications efficiently
n
- Act as the key onboarding point of contact for internal teams in Melbourne
n
- Ensure onboarding activities meet compliance requirements, internal procedures, and SLAs
n
- Maintain accurate merchant information across CRM and onboarding systems
n




- Monitor onboarding pipelines and proactively follow up with internal stakeholders on outstanding cases
n
- Manage multiple merchant applications while maintaining a high level of accuracy and turnaround time
n
- Support onboarding reporting and identify opportunities to improve internal processes and onboarding efficiency
n

What We’re Looking For nn
- 0–2 years of experience in onboarding, operations, KYC/AML, sales support, banking, fintech, client services, or a similar environment
n
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
n
- Strong attention to detail and ability to review documentation accurately
n
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines
n
- Comfortable working across different teams and coordinating multiple stakeholders
n
- Proactive and accountable, with the confidence to take ownership of cases from start to completion
n
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
n
- Comfortable working in a quick-paced, high-volume operational environment
n
- Able to work independently while collaborating closely with local and regional teams
n

Nice to Have nn
- Exposure to KYC / AML / compliance processes
n
- Experience in fintech, payments, banking, SaaS, or financial services
n
- Familiarity with CRM, onboarding, or workflow management systems
n
- Experience working in an operations or sales-support environment
