The King David School in Armadale is seeking a dedicated Pathways Advisor & VET Coordinator to guide students in Years 9 – 12 through their career education and planning journey. This role involves providing career counselling, subject selection advice, and support for tertiary course applications.

This is a 0.5 Part Time Fixed Term position, commencing 1 February 2027 ending 10 December 2027.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES n

- Deliver career education programs for Years 9 – 10, including CV writing and interview skills
n
- Manage Year 10 Careers Program and conduct Morrisby Report reviews
n
- Develop and monitor individual career pathway plans for students in Years 10 – 12
n
- Advise on subject selection and liaise with VCE and Year Level Coordinators
n
- Conduct VTAC information sessions, oversee tertiary course applications, and support students with UMAT training
n
- Coordinate VET course enrolments and provide career support to alumni
n
- Manage the Careers budget, online resources, and parent booking systems
n

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS nn
- Postgraduate qualifications in Careers Counselling/Careers Advice
n
- In-depth knowledge of VCE, VET courses, and VTAC processes
n




- Proficiency in career guidance technology and aptitude testing
n

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS nn
- Successful interviews and feedback for Year 10 students post-career testing
n
- Comprehensive communication of relevant career and tertiary information to Year 11 and 12 students
n
- Effective placement of graduates in tertiary courses
n
- Development and execution of impactful career programs linking work and school
n

Must be registered with the Victorian Institute of Teaching or hold an employee Working With Children Check.
