Beyond Barriers Care is seeking a passionate and dedicated Female Disability Support Worker to join our team in Bethania, Queensland. As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing compassionate and personalised care to individuals with disabilities, empowering them to live fulfilling and independent lives. This is a casual position, offering you the flexibility to balance your work and personal commitments.

What you'll be doing n

Assisting individuals with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks

n

Facilitating and supporting community engagement and social activities to promote client well-being and independence

n

Advocating for client needs and preferences, ensuring their rights and dignity are upheld

n

Collaborating with the broader care team to develop and implement individualised support plans

n

Maintaining accurate and detailed records of client progress and interactions

n

Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety protocols to ensure a safe and supportive environment

What we're looking for n

A Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent experience

n

Experience in Insulin Management

n





Demonstrated experience in providing person-centred support to individuals with disabilities

n

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and work collaboratively with clients, families, and the care team

n

Empathy, patience, and a genuine commitment to empowering individuals with disabilities

n

A current First Aid certificate and a valid driver's licence

n

NDIS Screening Check and Working with Children Check
