Marks Quality Cakes is seeking a skilled and passionate Baker - Pastry Chef to join our talented team on a full-time basis . This is an exciting prospect to work Monday to Friday in our bakery located in Williamstown VIC 3016 . In this role, you will be responsible for creating exceptional baked goods that delight our customers and uphold the high standards Marks Quality Cakes is known for. You will play a crucial part in our daily operations, bringing your expertise and creativity to produce quality products that drive customer satisfaction and business success.

What you'll be doing n

- Preparing and baking a variety of cakes and desserts according to established recipes and quality standards
n
- Monitoring oven temperatures and baking times to ensure consistent product quality
n
- Preparing ingredients and managing stock levels of raw materials
n
- Maintaining a clean, hygienic and organised bakery workspace in compliance with health and safety regulations
n
- Working collaboratively with the wider team to ensure timely production and delivery of orders
n
- Following portion control and cost management guidelines to maintain profitability
n
- Troubleshooting baking issues and adjusting techniques to maintain consistent quality
n

What we're looking for nn
- Formal qualification or proven professional experience as a Baker or Pastry Chef
n
- Demonstrated expertise in baking techniques and pastry work
n
- Strong knowledge of baking ingredients, their properties and how they interact in recipes
n
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced bakery environment whilst maintaining high quality standards
n
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to food safety and hygiene practices
n
- Reliable,



punctual and able to work consistently during Monday to Friday hours
n
- Physical stamina to handle the demands of bakery work, including standing for extended periods and lifting heavy items
n
- Strong organisational and time management skills to meet production deadlines
n
- A genuine passion for baking and creating quality products
n
- Preferred: Experience with specialty baking such as sourdough, artisan breads, or advanced pastry techniques
