About the Role

We are seeking a self-motivated and safety-conscious Farm Attendant to join the Feed Team at our Kingfish farming operations in Port Lincoln. Responsibilities include assisting with fish feeding operations, working with Akva feed cameras, general deckhand and maintenance tasks, and working collaboratively with other farming teams. Successful applicants will have experience in a similar marine environment and a keen interest in fish feeding operations.

On-water roles require candidates with a good level of physical fitness and the ability to work safely on the water in changeable weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities

- Commit to working safely in a marine farming environment.
- Fish Husbandry and Feed Systems knowledge an advantage.
- General Deckhand and Farmhand responsibilities.
- Working with feed cameras and equipment.
- Net inspections and repairs.
- Attention to detail.
- Adhere strictly to Yumbah’s policies and procedures.
- Ability to work as part of a tight-knit team.
- Good communication skills.

Qualifications/Experience To be successful in this role you will ideally have:

- Previous Farm Attendant/Deckhand experience.
- Fish Husbandry and Feed Systems knowledge.
- Experience and knowledge of Akva feed cameras or an alternative.
- Experience with 12-volt systems/Solar.
- Coxswain Certification an advantage.
- Physically fit with the ability to work safely in changeable weather conditions.
- Unrestricted work rights within Australia.
