Tell A Bird Support Services is a NDIS Regstered service Provider to individuals with disabilities and more. We are looking for a Female Support workers who are compassionate dedicated and proactive to join our team. Your job will involve empowering, encouraging and supporting partcipants to realise their full potentioal and encourage them to explore more.

This position in on the Sunshine coast area in the Caloundra Area and is immediate start

Shift Time:

- 8am - 2pm
- 8am - 4pm
- 2pm - 6pm
- 4pm -Sleep Over- 8am

Pay Rate: Pay rates are in accordance with the SCHADS Award.

Between $45 - $92

Key Responsibilities:

- Personal Care: Assist participants with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting in needed.
- Medication Assistance: Administer or supervise medication as per the participant’s care plan and according to regulations.
- Community Access and Social Participation: Support participants in accessing social, recreational, and employment opportunities.
- Meal Preparation: Assist with meal planning, shopping, and preparation based on dietary needs.
- Domestic Assistance: Help with light household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment.
- Transport Assistance: Provide transportation to appointments, social activities, and community events.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of participant progress, incidents, and daily activities, ensuring compliance with NDIS requirements and Amma's Care Services policies.
- Communication:



Collaborate with participants, their families, and other team members to ensure care is coordinated and meets the participant’s goals. Incident Reporting: Report any incidents or concerns to the Care Coordinator and follow up as necessary.

Requirements:

- Demonstrated experience in disability support or related field.
- Knowledge of NDIS guidelines and regulations preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to supporting individuals with disabilities.
- Experience supporting Psychosocial Disabilities (highly desirable)
- Following the participant’s Behaviour Support Plan

Documentation and skills needed:

- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working With Children Check (WWCC)
- First Aid & CPR Certificate
- COVID-19 Vaccination (as required)
- Driver's licence and reliable vehicle
- Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, Community Services, or equivalent (preferred but not essential)
- Valid Australian work rights required for this position
