Role Description The Field Services Engineer is a full time, hybrid role based in Sydney, NSW, with a combination of on-site visits to dental and medical practices and some work from home for planning, reporting, and remote support. Day-to-day tasks include installing, commissioning, and configuring dental equipment, performing diagnostics, troubleshooting equipment faults, and carrying out scheduled preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and safety.

The role involves responding to service calls, providing technical support and guidance to clients, documenting work performed, and maintaining accurate service records.

Engineer will also collaborate with internal teams on equipment upgrades, spare parts coordination, and continuous improvement of service processes, while delivering professional customer service and representing the company on client sites.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Field Service skills, including on-site installation, commissioning, and repair of technical equipment.
- Candidates should possess Troubleshooting and Technical Support skills to diagnose faults, resolve issues efficiently, and provide clear technical guidance to clients.
- Candidates should possess Preventive Maintenance skills to perform routine inspections, calibrations, and servicing of dental equipment in line with manufacturer specifications.
- Candidates should possess Customer Service skills, including professional communication, client relationship management, and a responsive, solutions-focused approach.
- Relevant trade qualification or degree in electronics, biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related technical field is highly desirable.
- Experience working with dental or medical equipment, including chairs, handpieces, imaging devices, suction systems, and compressors, is an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service documentation, with strong attention to detail and safety standards.
- Valid driver’s licence, willingness to travel to client sites across Sydney and surrounding areas, and capability to work independently in the field.
