About the role

Mallard Contracting is seeking a reliable and hardworking FIFO Cleaner to join our operations team. This is a casual position flying out from Perth, offering flexible work arrangements with a fly-in, fly-out schedule. As a FIFO Cleaner, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene standards across our mining and resources operations sites. This position is essential to ensuring safe, healthy working environments for all personnel on site.

What you'll be doing

- Performing general cleaning duties across operational areas, accommodation facilities, and common spaces on mining sites
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with site health and safety requirements
- Operating and maintaining cleaning equipment and tools safely and effectively
- Disposing of waste materials in accordance with environmental and site protocols
- Following company policies and procedures for workplace health and safety at all times
- Reporting any maintenance issues or safety hazards to site supervisors
- Adapting to varying site conditions and work schedules as required
- Working collaboratively with other team members to maintain site cleanliness standards

What we're looking for

- Proven experience in cleaning operations, preferably within mining, resources, or industrial environments
- Experience with Deep Cleaning (White Glove Cleaning) and Experience with Strip and Seal of Vinyl Flooring




- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
- Excellent health and safety awareness and a proven track record of safe work practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in remote FIFO operations
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to undertake FIFO roster arrangements
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing work schedules and site requirements
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for following instructions and recording information
- Current or ability to obtain relevant clearances and inductions as required by the mining site
- Able to attend a Pre-Employment Medical and Drug and Alcohol test.
- Preferred experience working in mining, resources, or similar industrial sectors
