Key Responsibilities

- Complete detailed earthworks safely and accurately.
- Construct road formations, pavements, pads, batters and associated civil works.
- Conditioning materials.
- Work to survey levels, stringlines, plans, specifications, and machine-control information.
- Achieve required tolerances, moisture conditioning, and compaction outcomes.
- Complete daily pre-start inspections and basic machine checks.
- Identify faults and report maintenance requirements promptly.
- Operate equipment safely, efficiently and in accordance with site procedures.
- Maintain safe separation from people, plant, and operational facilities.
- Work productively with supervisors, surveyors, and ground crews.
- Take responsibility for the quality of your work and the condition of your machine.
- Assist the wider crew with site activities when required.

About You To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Demonstrated experience in earthworks, roadworks, or pavement construction.




- Proven competence operating one or more items of heavy civil plant.
- A sound understanding of levels, tolerances, and construction sequencing.
- The ability to work safely and productively without constant supervision.
- A practical attitude and respect for plant and equipment.
- A willingness to assist the wider crew when required.
- Solid communication skills and a team-focused approach.
- A current driver’s licence and relevant tickets, licences, and VOCs.

What we're NOT looking for

- Operators whose experience is primarily limited to repetitive mine-site production
- Operators who do not consistently work to specified levels, tolerances, or construction requirements
- Operators who treat daily inspections and machine care as someone else’s responsibility
- People who are unwilling to step out of the cab and support the wider crew when required
