Finance Officer

Heka Hoods is a nationally recognised business, locally owned and operated, established right here on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. We design and manufacture aluminium awnings and hoods and pioneered the first bracket-less awning system. We are committed to creating building products that are both beautiful and intuitive to use.

We’re seeking a Senior Finance Officer who values accuracy, consistency and supporting others through dependable financial administration. This role is well suited to someone who takes pride in maintaining orderly systems, enjoys working within clear processes, and appreciates being a trusted support to the wider business.

The Role

As our Finance Officer, you will play a key role in keeping the financial foundations of the business running smoothly. You’ll manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, payroll and compliance requirements, while working closely with internal teams and external advisers.

This is a role for someone who prefers doing things properly, values reliability and enjoys contributing behind the scenes to the success of the business.

Both Part Time and Full Time work schedules will be considered, applicants are encouraged to apply and advise of their preferred work hours.

What You’ll Do

- Record and process financial transactions accurately and consistently

- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and supplier payments

- Process payroll, superannuation and employee entitlements with care and confidentiality

- Complete bank and balance sheet reconciliations

- Prepare and lodge BAS, IAS, payroll tax and other statutory obligations

- Support end-of-month and year-end close activities

- Liaise with accountants, auditors and external advisers as required

- Manage insurance renewals and finance-related compliance tasks





- Respond helpfully and professionally to internal and external finance queries

- Maintain accurate, well-organised financial records and support steady process improvement

Experience & Qualifications

- Previous experience in bookkeeping or accounting support

- Sound knowledge of payroll, tax compliance and reporting requirements

- Experience using Xero and Microsoft Excel

- Degree, Certificate or Diploma in Bookkeeping, Accounting or a related field (desirable)
