About the Opportunity

Support the Finance team through helpdesk assistance, reporting and budgeting support, process improvements, and backup across accounts payable, payroll, and broader finance functions.

What you will bring

Ideally the successful applicant will have the following:

- Relevant experience in a large accounting environment.
- A working knowledge of accounting principles.
- Hold or working towards achieving a qualification in accounting, finance, business or commerce or relevant work experience.
- Experience in large integrated computerised financial systems and experience in Microsoft applications, in particular; Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.
- Hold a current satisfactory Police Check or willing to obtain one prior to employment.

Salary and conditions

The position is classified within Band 5 of Council’s Current Enterprise Agreement commencing at $40.51 per hour plus statutory superannuation.
