Position Details We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Finance Officer to join our professional administration team. Workdays are Monday to Friday, from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, with flexible start and finish times available by agreement. The position is a 48-week appointment and includes four weeks of paid annual leave, to be taken during school holiday periods with the approval of the Principal.

Selection Criteria

- Demonstrated experience in bookkeeping, financial administration, and the preparation of financial reports.
- Proven experience in financial processes, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, Business Activity Statement (BAS) preparation, and general ledger management.
- Strong understanding and practical application of accrual accounting principles and practices.
- Well-developed interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.




- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
- Advanced proficiency in financial management software, Microsoft Office applications (particularly Excel), and web-based systems.
- High levels of professionalism, confidentiality, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated initiative and the ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
- Friendly and approachable, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality service to staff, families, and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively with the Leadership Team, Administration Team, and broader school community.
- Experience using Administration of Schools (AoS) and CEWA systems would be highly regarded.
- Previous experience working within a school or educational environment is desirable.

Qualifications Required Relevant qualifications in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Business Management, or a related field would be highly regarded but are not essential. A current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement).

A Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check issued by the Department of Education WA (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement).

First aid certificate is desirable

Accreditation to Work in a Catholic School (or willingness to obtain).
