Role Description The Financial Accountant contract role is based in Mascot, NSW, with a hybrid work arrangement that allows some work from home. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards and corporate policies. The role involves managing general ledger entries, reconciliations,



and journals, and supporting timely financial reporting to internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

- Robust foundation in Finance and Financial Reporting, with the ability to interpret and communicate financial results clearly.
- Hands-on experience preparing Financial Statements and managing general ledger processes.
- Proficiency with Accounting Software and related systems, with the capacity to improve process efficiency.
- Well-developed Analytical Skills for variance analysis, forecasting, and data-driven decision support.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; professional certification (e.g., CA, CPA) is advantageous.
- Knowledge of relevant accounting standards and compliance requirements, ideally within manufacturing or construction sectors.
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to meet deadlines in a multi-site business environment.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a hybrid setting and engage stakeholders at different levels.
