UPA of NSW is building a directly employed casual team of Registered Nurses across Yeoval for Christmas, New Year and beyond.

These are direct UPA employment opportunities—not agency placements. You won’t just be another name filling a shift; you’ll be a UPA employee and part of the team from day one.

You’ll receive a proper UPA induction, ongoing workplace support and the chance to work with familiar residents, teams and homes rather than starting from scratch every shift.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Registered Nurse with UPA, you’ll provide high-quality, evidence-based and resident-focused clinical care, supporting our residents to maintain their independence,



wellbeing and quality of life. You’ll also play an important role in providing clinical guidance and support to the wider care team.

Your responsibilities may include:

- Providing safe, person-centred nursing care within your RN scope of practice
- Completing clinical assessments and identifying residents’ changing care needs
- Developing and contributing to individual care plans
- Providing clinical support, advice and guidance to Personal Care Workers and the wider care team
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation
- Responding appropriately to changes in residents’ health and escalating concerns where required
- Supporting medication management in line with UPA policies and clinical requirements
- Communicating effectively with residents, families, medical professionals and other health professionals
- Providing clinical supervision and supporting employees to maintain appropriate clinical competencies
- Contributing to quality improvement, infection control and safe clinical practice

The role carries responsibility for clinical care as well as providing effective clinical supervision and guidance to employees delivering resident care.

YOU’LL BE A GOOD FIT IF YOU:

- Are a Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
- Hold a Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification
- Have at least 12 months’ post-registration experience
- Have a compassionate, respectful and resident-focused approach to nursing




- Have strong clinical assessment, decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Communicate confidently with residents, families and multidisciplinary teams
- Are reliable and comfortable responding to available casual shifts
- Hold current Australian working rights
- Can work across a range of days and shift times

Previous residential aged-care experience, experience with LeeCare or Medsig, and current First Aid & CPR are desirable.

Appointment is subject to satisfactory completion of UPA’s required pre-employment checks, which may include:

- Verification of current AHPRA registration and nursing qualifications
- National Criminal History Check

- Verification of Australian working rights

As this is casual employment, shifts will depend on operational requirements and your availability. Availability for morning, afternoon, night, weekend and public-holiday shifts will be highly regarded.
