About the Role

Corvin Group is looking for an experienced Financial & Management Accountant to join our finance team in Carlton North. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys both the rigour of financial reporting and the insight of management accounting, and who wants to make a genuine impact on how the business understands and uses its numbers. You'll work closely with the finance team and business stakeholders to keep our reporting accurate, our budgets on track, and our decision-makers well informed.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards
- Produce management accounts, budgets, and forecasts, and provide variance analysis to support business decisions
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and journal entries
- Prepare and lodge BAS, GST, and other statutory and tax obligations
- Support the annual audit process and liaise with external accountants
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial controls
- Partner with department heads to provide financial insight, reporting, and analysis




- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, systems, and controls
- Assist with ad hoc financial modelling and reporting as required

About You

- CA/CPA qualified (or nearing completion), with a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3–5 years' experience in a financial and/or management accounting role
- Background in public practice or the accounting industry, now looking to move into a commercial/industry role, is highly regarded
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience with statutory reporting
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g. Netsuite or similar) and advanced Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Clear communicator, comfortable presenting financial information to non-finance stakeholders
- Ability to manage competing deadlines and work both independently and as part of a team
